I brought mine to the dealership twice while this was occurring and took video as requested. Happens to me once or twice a week. I was told that an engineer is looking into it. Hopefully We will hear back on this at some point.

Add me to the list. I have a 2017 SS Fifty and almost every time I use the remote start, I lose the Vehicle Mode option. It randomly comes back on its own. It has disappeared before when not using the remote start feature but its far more repeatable with remote start. I'd say 90% of the time remote start causes it to be missing. Without remote start its usually available 90% of the time. GM needs to fix this. It's super annoying. It's widespread so I don't feel like wasting my time to go to the dealer for them to scratch their heads. GM needs to do the legwork on their own and come out with a fix.

Add me to the list, had the car 3 weeks and it happened for the first time today. 6MT, NPP, MRC. Reappeared after a restart. No long idle time or remote start.

Anything new with this issue? I notice the dates of the replies are fairly old. I have a 2017 2SS a little over 2 months old with NPP. I have had this issue a few times. Most recently NOW! I'll go back into the garage and see if the option has returned after I post this. I changed the mode a couple of times today during a trip of ~100 miles. On my return home the option does not exist. (Engine sound management).

It is a software glitch and the patch is supposed to be released soon. That is what the dealership just told me last week.

When mine disappears it always show up after the next time I start it. They told me the car needed to be be off for 4 minutes so all computers will power down.

Something to do with a communication issue and one of the computers not answering fast enough during startup. Since it didn't answer it doesn't show up on the menu.

I just got my car back yesterday and this is one of the issues that was hopefully fixed. They could not duplicate the issue but they did perform a radio update with new software, lighting enhancement, and new calibrations. I do not know if this is the patch that was talked about or not but over the next few days I will find out if it resolved the issue.

Just for the record, this happened to me as well when I remote started the car. No Engine menu for exhaust and such, and lighting not accessible.

Interesting. Push button start it is almost always there. Remote start so far is 100% missing for me.

Mine only has this problem when remote starting. It doesn't happen every time I remote start either. Me don't care! Much more important shit to worry about in my day.
