I have been unable to get android auto to work with my S7 edge. I stopped by my dealer and was told that only some 2016s are compatible and scheduled me tomorrow for a service call to see if they can get it to work. Not sure when my 2016 car was built, but just picked it up 2 weeks ago. Are not all 2016 Camaros compatible ?

AA will work on all 2016's, you may not have the FW for your Mylink that contains AA. With the latest FW AA will work.

Thanks for the info. They did the update on the car and all seems good now. I just need to learn how to use it.

I just got my 2017 and I csnt get anything except a black screen with Google maps and a few icons at the bottom. One for phone and music. I have a s7 edge. Im completely lost.

Take the car to your local cell provider store and try another phone/cable. Sounds like something is wrong. Never seen a black screen with maps with mine.

No start with the easiest and quickest test, the phone/cable itself. Then if another phone at the store does the exact same thing with a new cable, you'll know it's the car. Most dealer techs are clueless about this kind of technology. So you want to have more than enough information to convince them something is wrong.

I'll check with a different phone cord although this one's only about 4 months old but I'll take your advice and go buy a new one is there any specific place I should go as in a cellular phone company or just any store that sells cords forgive me for my ignorance on this.

Make sure your phone is in the right mode as well. If it defaults to just charge mode it will not launch Android Auto. Also if you have used your free wifi and do not hook up onstar wifi make sure your wifi is turned off on your phone. When I first got my car the cable was good and read the S4 but not S7 Edge. My S4 defaulted to the right mode. Good advice given try a different Android phone first.

What happens when you press the icons where you see the head phones etc?

Phone is on charging mode. What should it be put on? When I press head phone icon Google music shows up. I'm not educated on this i guess

I will look at it. Is phone supposed to be in a certain mode when I plug in USB? It shows charging.
