MyLink Touch Screen Brightness Randomly Gets Dim

The brightness on my MyLink touch screen randomly gets dim. Sometimes it will return to full brightness on its own. But, so far, the only way I've been able to return it to full brightness is to turn the car off. Has anyone else experienced this?

The same light sensor on top of the dash center next to windshield that turns on your headlights automatically, controls the brightness of the display. When in low light or when windshield wipers are on the headlights operate and depending on the amount of light sensed by the sensor the display will brighten or dim.

That makes some sense, as the first time I noticed it, I was in traffic and slowly passed underneath a highway overpass. However, once I was out of the shadow of the overpass, the screen remained dim. But there have been other times I have noticed the screen dim without driving through any shaded areas nor were there any changes in daylight. I'm not positive, but I don't think I've ever seen the screen get brighter once it dims without turning the car off and back on.
