Parking sensors

Does anyone know if the 2017 ZL1 has parking sensors on the front bumper?
With my current ZL1 there are no parking sensors on the front pumper and with it being so low I am always afraid I am going to bump the front.

None that I'm aware of in front. Only rear. And unfortunately it doesn't have have front Camera System offered on the Vettes. It saved my front Splitter on my Z51 a couple of times. Great technology !

There is a camera in front of the car if you get the PDR so it seems like it should work with that option. I wonder why not, but these guys are running out of options to sell every model year, so it may be a simple addition in 2018 or beyond, like lane departure and adaptive cruise control.

Well, at least we won't have to take the nose off to replace the splitter anymore. Progress?

Actually that camera is inside behind the mirror. The Vette actually has a seperate camera on the nose of the car so you can see the curb.

100% correct!

The PVR will be in facing front of the rearview mirror so really won't help with the parking situation and not sure if u can view while u r at that speed.

With the Vette at slower speeds you turn on the camera and there are actually 3 of them in the front facia. Two on each side and one looking straight down. Pretty cool

I was really surprised that this was not atleast an option for the ZL1. With that massive front end, it is definitely high risk.

So, what is the best aftermarket solution? The front air dam is high risk.

See the diy section for my thread

Have used them on my last three cars, they work great, If calibrated correctly...... and you follow the installation to the letter.....

There is a camera system at gen5diy.com for the gen6. Looks good but not easy.

Probably not what you want to hear, but back into spots. Ever since I wrecked the splitter the very first weekend on my Corvette, I started backing in or finding a pull through spot.

I installed a curb alert about 2 weeks ago on my car. Best investment I have made on this car.

Has anyone here used a curb alert on a car that is driven year round in a snowy climate? I worry about it surviving.
