I noticed a 'side' to your comment yesterday. Riding with the top down in comfortable weather, I turned off the a/c compressor and the lighter load on the engine was noticeable in 'less' noise while just cruising and not accelerating. Was surprised the compressor had that much of a load effect.

I'm sure you could find the rattle if someone could put their head under the dash as someone else drives the car at 40+ miles per hour. I'm not sure what they would tell the policeman that he would believe though...lol.
