Here's my best Buddy's '71. He bought it in 1979 when we graduated High School. He still has it and races it to this day. And she is one FAST ride!

Probably not considered a classic, but I still have my first car: '89 Camaro RS 305 5 Speed. Nothing fancy, stock engine, couple of minor tweaks here and there. Currently not being driven, but this engine CANNOT BE KILLED!! LITERALLY.
I bumped a curb and the oil filter came loose driving to work, came out for break to a giant oil spill. Had to drive to the store, throw some cheap oil in, drive home so I could tighten the filter. Another time, the fan shorted out, 20 miles from home while 'parked'  Heard a boiling noise, opened hood, coolant was boiling out of the overflow tank. Drove home to fix, had to hotwire the fan for a time until I could get a new circuit. Engine never skipped a beat. My father and I call her Christine. Unfortunately, I have no digital pics. Paint is currently seriously faded, so I won't post a current pic here. |

The green '78 has been gone for many years but what a beast in it's day, it had an LT1 with angle-plug heads hidden in plain sight. The pewter 2001 is my daily driver, LS1 bottom end breathing through an LS6 top end with a not so mild cam and a Borla cat-back exhaust.
