I don't think it would be too hard (especially if you have an access to a lift), but one thing I'm not sure about how the connector is being protected. (When cutout is taken out for winter, I would imagine there would a electric connector where the cutout plugs into. I don't know what QTP will provide to protect that....)

Have you done it? I've read about a lot of people doing it for less than $200, No drone, no CEL, no tune. No mention of the valves, except for Borla's post - so I'm wondering why they may matter. I find it hard to believe people could be doing this so cheap if they had valve pipes installed.

Actually, I think I might've just confused myself... where are the AFM valves located? For some reason I was thinking they would get removed with the secondary cats...

Yes you can delete the second cats while retaining the valves. Borlas site has a good explanation on them.

So I'm having trouble finding a shop that would be able to do this since it is "against federal regulations" ... Do you know of any, by chance?

Make sure you call them "resonators" rather than secondary cats when talking to shops. Even though we all know they are not resonators. I have an appointment on Tuesday morning to have mine removed. Shop never even questioned me.

That's correct. They don't like to talk about it over the phone either there real careful of being set up and losing there business. Just go there and don't go to a major franchise shop. Go to a ,CUSTOM MUFFLER PLACE. That does alot of CUSTOM type work..

Just had this done. Car sounds great! Not a real difference in the tone of the sound just louder. I would hate to say it but the but dyne was happy too. Can't equate that to just getting into it but it seems to have opened up in higher rpms.
