Will it be a PITA or easy to remove the filter for cleaning?
Thinking that I might just order this instead of waiting for options. I just went ahead and ordered it.....unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment. I should have pre-ordered it like you all did. And, if it's out of stock they must have more demand than most of us here are imagining.

It looks to be pretty easy to change the filter. Just loosen the hose clamp where it connects to the box,if needed possibly loosen the tube at the engine, and pull the whole box out, no bolts, just positioning pegs holding the box in.... The filter just snaps out of the box

Thanks Glenn and Power!
Appreciate the answers. Looking at your photo's I was kind of assuming that the box would have to be removed. Perhaps I'll finally get around to scheduling some dyno time to see what difference having the entire intake path upgraded does for the LGX!

I'm relatively patient and I'd rather save the $42.

This has made the car more fun to drive. Too bad I am in Kalifornia and not allowed to have it. Oh well, I can always plead ignorance.

I won't remove the tube. I don't want to disconnect the connection at the engine, I'd rather pull the box straight up , it's only on positioning pins. Just for grins I did it about 15 minutes ago.

Shipped today..... maybe the out of stock listing on their website is wrong!
AFE is in California LOL. Kind of funny given the state laws.

Got mine installed it really makes a difference in throttle response and pull especially in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. A lot faster rev in 1st and 2nd.

Driven with mine for a few days now. Definitely feel like there is some additional power. Just this morning on the way to work I went around a very tight corner in a normal fashion. After getting around the corner in 1st at around 2500 rpm's I punched it and broke the tires loose with traction control on. Never done that previously.
I also never realized that we can turn traction control all the way off. Just press and hold the Traction Control button for 5+ seconds. First the normal T/C light pops up but, if you don't let go of the button and wait 5+ seconds a 2nd "swerve" light pops on your dash. The reason I brought it up. After installing and out for my first test I turned everything off and attempted a 3000 rpm launch.... Just spun pretty much all the way through 1st gear. edit: Anyone else have a difficult time getting this installed? I had to dremel out the inlet hole a little to get that piece to fit and stay in place. And then putting that damn air box in place properly with the intake piece was a real bitch. Additionally with my ported throttle body (must be slightly greater diameter than stock) the smaller diameter clamp wouldn't fit over the silicone sleeve. I had to use the stock screw clamp on the throttle body side.

a ported throttle body shouldn't have a wider outer diameter. That would just be a new (different) throttle body.
