Are you sure you just didn't run over it in the road? Looks like a cap for a semi truck wheel hub...

I was getting a bit noise before on cold start but not as much and today while I was driving that thing just popped with a loud noise. Thanks guys I'm having a tow truck pick it up. Do you guys know normally how long does this normally take to fix, any estimates?

So my dealership said there's a lot of parts that need to be replaced including the rear axle. They said they will try to have it done by tomorrow

Well glad it did not let go while you were going at a high speed, seems the rear ends on these cars are having some issues, rear diff problems as well as components coming apart. Not good.

I'm getting kind of nervous about taking mine to the track since it is making the rear end noise. I was supposed to go last Friday but something came up.
The local dealership here sucks!!! This isn't where I bought the car. He told me he would have to charge me to check the fluid for metal shavings.
