No USB Power

When I first got my 2SS, about 4 months ago, I checked everything to make sure they worked. The USB outlets worked (plugged a flash drive and played songs/movies) and hooked up my IPhone to check Carplay. Worked fine and then I forgot about them till yesterday........tried to play music from the same drive and the display said there was no drive detected. Also, no carplay even when selecting the Projection icon. Everything works fine when hooked to the laptop so all I can think is that there is no power now to the USB outlets.........anyone know which fuse to check?

If the MyLink distributed architecture stayed somewhat the same from the 5th gen, then you're looking for the PDIM. It draws power from the MyLink headunit, behind the screen. You can try a factory reset of your radio, pull the fuse for the radio (in the trunk) or remove/lift the center console to get to the PDIM.

That module may also have gone bad.

I Just recently had my USB ports go dead on me. Everything worked fine for the first 6 weeks then it just stopped working. I need to get it into the dealer. Without the USB ports working, Apple Carplay doesn't work.

It was an easy fix for mine, if the parts dept. has it in stock (mine didn't so had to go back when it came in). Just a power distribution module that had to be replaced. No problems so far since the fix and everything works again.
