You need a business or affiliation with a shop in automotive. If you are in good with any legitimate shop they can get you an ID badge. Registration has been going on for a few months already, you'd be lucky to make it now. There is a lot to see outside that doesn't require a badge. By all means get there if you can, you will see 2 to 3 year products before they reach the public and its sensory overload.
