Car cover it's Storage time ;(

Well I put mine away for it's long winters nap today. You will see the GEN5 car cover works just fine on the GEN6. So save your self some money if you still got your old GEN5 COVER

Ughh, I have to do the same to mine very soon. Need to give it a quick waterless wash, put some fuel stablizer in, attach the battery tender, throw the cover on and put it up on the lift. Night nite

Ya, so sad........ Just put mine to rest last weekend. Washed it, added fuel stabil, hooked up battery tender, and placed on cover. Tomorrow I will place the 4 jack stands under it and remove the tires... Winter SUCKS

Can I get away with just disconnecting the battery? I don't have power out to the garage. I also do not have a lift. I have some rubber mats I will put under the wheels. Will that be a problem in the spring?

here is what I use: Flat stop race ramps. Beats having to jack the car.

Just took mine on a 7 hour trip in the pouring rain in northern ca. That's our winter. Won't get commute duty in the winter rains but the occasional road trip.

Thanks for the input, will save me $70 a month to store in a heated building. I'll just stuff in in my garage and dream of warmer weather.

I have a fitted cover for sale

I bought the Ultimate Shield Car Cover thinking I would need it for work related trips. Turns out I didn't. And I don't need it at home because I have a garage.

Also have the gust strap wind protectors, storage bag and cable lock. It is still in the box. Brand new, never used, original cost $165 (including wind gust straps).. I want to sell it and will consider any reasonable offer. If you are interested send me a PM.

See it here:

Some of us have multiple cars so why drive our car through salt ridden streets. Also honesty it's cheaper to store the car than to buy a winter rim and tire package. If you are going to drive yours I wish you the best of luck but if you have the summer only tires I hope you change those out to winter tires as soon as the temperature drops below 40 degrees
