2017 A-pillar removal?

Anyone happen to have removed the A-Pillars? I need to remove mine and to install a couple of small LED's for my Radar/Laser Defense setup. It looks like they will just pop out with a little force. Just want to make sure before I start pulling.

They're easy to remove. But it has an elastic cord that attach it to the car's frame. My guess is that this prevents the plastic cover to become a projectile when the air bags deploy.

I can't check now but see if there are notes about replacing the clips. Some vehicle's manufacturers recommend it since it is technically part if the SRS system. AKA head air bags.
