Tail of the Dragon

Took the SS up to the Dragon today, awesome day, sunny and in the 50's up there, not a ton of traffic. Camaro handled awesome in sport mode. Drove the Hellbender 28 on the way up to 129/ The Dragon, another fun road, gorgeous area, especially with the leaves changing colors. Saw a 50th anniversary covertible, saw it real quick, believe it was a SS as well.

I was up there today as well, saw a 50th for a split second. Great day for it.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing the pics.
I'm planning on driving down there some time in the next few weeks after I do my 1st oil change.
It's been years since I was there and it was in a small roadster. I'm curious to find out how a V8 with a taut chassis would handle those curves.

No way!!

I think the local businesses rely too much on visitors/tourists to scare them away.
Can any of you confirm if this is true?

Fair amount of people but only saw 1 cop in roughly 7 hours of driving around the area.

I was up there last Sunday, but they had just found the bad motorcycle crash from the day before. So lots of emergency equipment in the middle of the Dragon, I only went through once.

Only saw 1 state trooper, pulled someone over on the way back.

Nice pics...oh that sucks, saw lots of motorcycles going WAY too fast yesterday, not suprising to see accidents like that.

Love this road on the Harley. Looking forward to taking the SS. As far as cops go, don't cross the yellow line and watch your speed.
