Dealer forgot to install decal

Hi everyone!

Last week I bought a 2016 2SS and loving every minute of it!

Today I was vacuuming the trunk of the car and found a set of Red Hash Mark Decals, I went back to the car invoice and they were indeed included in the price that I paid.

Now since the car I bought was from a dealer 113 miles away (getting the 20% off discount), could I contact a closer chevy dealer to do the install (for ree)?

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks!
Ed

If your local dealer is smart, he would indeed install it free and hope he gains a customer.

Since the dealer you're asking to do it is making no profit from it, there's no way he would do it for free. Do it yourself ...it's just soap and water, peel & stick… Several YouTube videos on this....or local tint shop will put it on for much less than what a dealer would charge.

I have never disagreed with ANYTHING Glen has said.. In this case I think it's "even money" that Michigan is correct... It doesn't cost anything to ask.

Doesn't hurt to try and ask. If not then do it yourself for free

Thanks guys for your replies.

I sent an email to the local dealer and waiting for their reply.

I would do it myself but based on my previous experience with my gen5 installing decals, it's not as simple as it looks.

I'm hoping for the best! Otherwise I guess I will have to make a 120 miles road trip .

You can install them yourself. Piece of cake.

The GM vinyl is a little tricky. Its not cheap thin chinese stuff. It has to be lined up correctly and requires a little stretch to form to the curves of the fender.
If the price is on the build sheet the dealer was paid to put them on. I would get them to put them on

I'd just get a tint shop to do it. The hash marks aren't exactly time consuming to put on because they're pretty small. May as well pay a little to have it done right the first time versus mess up the install and have to buy new vinyl.

Ask the closest dealership to install them. If they insist on charging you contact the closest Chevrolet Regional office. I'm lucky, my dealership goes out of their way to help me and often at no-charge. Customer service is king. Be nice, but firm. As a matter of fact my dealership is not the one I purchased my Camaro 2SS from. They're 10 miles apart. They did my first oil change and I've stayed with them. Added rear red brake covers, replaced driver air dam (labor) and door paint chip all at no charge. I did bring the service department donuts.
