Some how I missed this slip, but you have changed out the stock tires so it has to go in Bolt On's. Not stock anymore.

Hmmm I never knew changing the tires is consider a bolt-on. I agree that DR and Slicks but not MPSS

Interesting but yeah, in a sense the car is not bone stock anymore..

I have lowering springs, would that be classified as a bolt on as well?

With that said, I love the MPSS tires lol

I agree, that car is not a bolt on. You can notate the tire swap, but putting it in bolt on is incorrect in my opinion.

Edit: I don't see that slip posted even in bolt ons?

You need to review the 1st post in this thread. Third party photo storage does not cut it, to be added to any list, times slips need to uploaded directly to C6 site.

Weather conditions: -120 DA. 49 F. 15 mph headwind.

Had an 11.7@117 in the bag on this run. Was holding the car in gear crossing the traps all night to prevent a shift before the line. It helped. But as DA dropped it was faster and I hit the limiter 50-100 feet before the line this pass! Doh !

There have been 2 cases recently of people doing wheel and tire changes yet claiming their car is bone stock. Specifically, posts #327 and #426. The bone stock description clearly states stock tires. The category is not 'sorta stock' or 'mostly stock', it's bone stock. Neither of those cars was bone stock when the slips were produced.

Post 426 has ET Streets, a full on drag tire, I agree with you there. But that is way different than 327 that just has a different set of street tires.

It almost is like we really can use a new category, "tire only". Where any tire swap, full on drag tire, or different street tire could go. That may satisfy us, and keep the bolt on category for true bolt ons. Plus, with lots of tracks now running a tire only class (which usually refers to drag radials or similar) it may be a nice separate category to start IMO...

Actually, 327 had aftermarket wheels and aftermarket tires. If you notice, in a later post he admitted that he had lighter wheels too. Just the tire change alone is enough to bump out of bone stock though, the rules specify stock tires for bone stock category.
