Seat Belt to stay in place - ideas

Hello,

The 5th Gen Camaro had a small loop in the seat near the shoulder to hold the seat belt in place. This is missing in the 6 th Gens.
The problem is that the belt retracts back and buckle of the belt slides down and makes difficult to pull between the seat and the door pad. I fear that I will damage either.

Any ideas to have the seat belt stay close to the seat and the buckle stay at the shoulder height?

Thanks

Glad you asked. I started a thread about this a month ago with a larger set up. I have now refined my idea and it works PERFECTLY. I was just looking for my old thread but will hop on here instead. There are two pictures; the "loose" belt is how it looks when you get in the car. The next picture shows what it looks like with the seat belt snapped in place.. It slides perfectly.. I've used TWO Carabineers; both Aluminum and fairly small. I promise the setup will not hurt your track times.

I too, noticed that the buckle gets stuck between the door panel and seats.

Thank you.. I rented a gen 5 once and noticed the "loop": this is better.

This^

It's really easy, now it comes natural. Just place it back to where it sits.
