Man you guys are having a blast out there.. good stuff! Any car running mid 12's and lower is fast to me.. You guys are setting the bar for real.

I went to Atco last night. And what did I see but a bevy of CA6 SS Camaros! And 2 (3?) with manuals. I did see the one go 12.6. Not sure how the others did. And one black SS with 1LE wheels! Good looking car. Glad to see Camaros representing. With all the Mustangs around it can be lonely.

The air was not good so I was stuck at 12.6-7. I was back to stock and running the run flats.

I raced Pat 4 times. One was really weird where the lights went out just as the yellows were coming down. Both Pat and I just drove down the strip at around 14 seconds. But Pat left first and I did not bother to try and catch up. We both ran 14 seconds and my RT was .7 something. Pat 1 me 0. (Did that one count?). On the next run the lights stayed on and Pat edged me out. I was running him down. If I only had another 100 feet. However on that run Pat slightly red lighted to my 0 something RT. So I went to work and made fun of that. This got in his head. I was giving Pat a taste of Pat medicine. I won the next two runs as Pat's RTs were both .2 something. And he wasn't letting me win. He admitted later, yea he was worried about red lighting again. We never got a chance for the rubber match as there was a big spill and I left.

I also had fun racing an Aussie GTO with big DRs on it. He was a little faster and he beat my crappy RT the first time and the second time I returned the favor. I was hoping for another try but that match also ended undecided.

Fender to fender racing is the biggest thrill for me. And the fans love it.

Shifting was good. I must have slipped the clutch on that one run and then hot lapped. I hope to get 15-20k out of the clutch.Then at that point maybe put the car in the shop for a heads-cam-clutch install. I will stay single disc. No more twins for me. Maybe the ZL1 clutch will fit.

No, I have not retried launch control. I have had a couple of low 1.92-3 60's with just me doing it on stock tires. Next Tuesday Pat says the air will be good. It's my last chance stock.

Stay single disc? Your car has a twin in it...surely the ZL1 will too.

Yes, but sport or track mode, then turn on competition mode. Then you can access LC...but remember, slow, progressive clutch release. Too fast will fully activate LC.

Wow, I did not not know. You are right of course. I see people looking at Centerforce clutches. Buyer beware. I hope they have improved the design and quality control.

The air at Atco was incredible last night. I got a new best, see below. I also raced Pat once and this time I had to red light to beat him. He was running low 12.3s in his stock auto GT when I left. He might have gotten into the 12.2s later. Edit: 12.24! Not bad for a completely stock auto GT with 265 profile radials. Darn I might have been in the 12.2s also.

As for me I was having a huge problem with wheelhop. I was worried about breaking an axle so I gave up early. I am going on a road trip tomorrow and did not want to be replacing an axle today.

Snowblind was there and running low 11.6es by the end of the night. Way to represent!
