You're way off. Total of payments is just over $9k at $255 for 36. 58% of $33k is over $19k. Their payment was closer to reality, but a touch high IMHO.

My car had an msrp of $53k. Is the $476 before or after taxes or whatever they said it would be. Either way. That sounds like a good lease payment. My lease is $603. They always have lease deals. It's not going to be anything like what others are buying them out right for.

I read Chevy also has a special lease deal for the 2016 Camaro.

The same thing happened to me, I went to my chevy dealer I bought my 2016 Silverado Z71 from (which I got an amazing deal on) and wanted to lease a leftover 2016 1SS convertible with a bonus tag MSRP was something like $46,000 on sale for $37,000. I was told the big discount didn't apply and my payments would be in the $600 range on a 48 month lease with 10K miles per year. Needless to say I left. My truck that I leased in February was an MSRP of $48,000 and I got 12K miles per year and the lease insurance and with the same out of pocket money I was at $293/month on a 39 month lease on the truck. They also bought out my other lease of $2000 when I bought the truck so I am guessing Camaros just lease like crap. I hope I can be in the $400 range with a few grand down in the spring.

As a dealer, I can assure you, the discount does not apply to leasing. Also, as already stated, residual is ALWAYS based off of MSRP.
Is it possible to lease through Ally still? Yes, however it is not a supported or incentivized rate so you will be paying more. |

Leasing a GM car "almost" never makes sense, since the RV is low and the MF is high, so you're paying more depreciation, and the cost of the money is higher. I normally lease BMW because their RV is higher, and they discount their MF. Ended up buying a 2SS since its only a bout $100/mo. more in payments to own instead of lease. YMMV.

Correct. You can't take advantage of the 20% manufacturer rebate on a lease

Well I guess I got some bad info here at Camaro6,about the bonus tag and leasing.
Still, the dealer I went to never corrected me that the 20% off was not going to work with the lease. I was misinformed, but they did not take the time or know how to explain what was going on. |

when they were doing the 10% bonus tag they gave it to me on my lease and if they didnt then they just took a bunch off the msrp at their own expense.

Rough swag or sanity check should look like this:
58% of $46,155= $26,770 (this is what the vehicle will be worth after 36 months) $46155-$26770= $19385 (amount of depreciation) $19385 / 36 months =$538.47/month payment Again, not taking any interest or discounts in play. With a lease, you should really ONLY be paying the amount of depreciation the vehicle experiences during the term of the lease. Yes, there are a few other fees (document, tax, destination, etc..) but usually, those are covered up front with a down payment.
