Mine says:

01093 NOT 1AL37 ZL1 COUPE

With 0 nationwide allocations....does this mean only accepting zl1 orders this week? Why must GM be so cryptic....

If i may ask, without having to read all throughout the posts here.
I went in to place my order for my 2017 2SS set it all up and was told there are constraints right now for V8's.
Can anyone tell me when my order will be able to be sent in and accepted? My salesman told me the wait time is usually 3 months for an order but noe it will be 6 months.

Mahalo in advance

There hasn't been a V8 constraint in a couple weeks...

This week was a ZL1 ordering cycle only I believe.....

From Thursday on it should go through.... as long as your dealer has allocation.....

Every few weeks a dealer is given a number of cars they can order from the factory. This can be for the showroom, dealer lot, specific order, etc. The number of allocations is affected by the number of that model they have sold in the past. High volume corvette dealers get more corvette allocations than smaller dealerships that sell 1-2 corvettes/year. Same for silverados, malibus, Camaros, etc. Im assuming a dealer in Hawaii doesn't get many Camaro orders, so they will get less allocations. Your dealer cant get your order in to the system until they have an allocation, which could be 2 weeks, or it could be more. Other folks on the forum have a better grasp on the timing of things than I do, but if you search around the forum for "allocation" and "ordering" youll find a lot of information. Also this:
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415251
will show you the steps a car goes through from order to delivery.

2017 2SS - Speak to Becky @ Rodgers on these forums. I was jerked around from a high-volume Camaro dealer for 2 weeks telling me they had allocations. Finally, I got to a manager that said "We had allocations, but not for a Camaro". I had to hunt around for 2 days calling dealers in 150 mile radius specifically asking if they had a Camaro allocation. I finally found one, went in, put my deposit, and 3-5 days later the order was picked up. You can see the order process in my sig.

Becky is all over these forums and you only hear good things from those special ordering from her. Look into it and you will probably have to drop the current order since they can't provide it within a reasonable time. You could be waiting 2-3 months or more before GM will pickup the order from your dealer.

I will check with the dealer. This will be my 3rd Camaro ordered from them. Im sure they arent jerking me around but you never know.
Thsnk you all for the education on this. I kind of thought thsts what it was. I do know they move quite a few camaros due to them not charging the "dealer markup" on top of the price.

For anyone that has a dealer charging a markup fee because they are "popular" in that area, look at cars.com - there are 30,000+ NEW Camaros listed across the country. If a dealer is charging a $3,000 markup fee, you could fly in anywhere for less than $300 one-way and drive out with your car saving $2,700! There are so many options out there!

My dealer doesnt charge the mark up. There are 2 other dealers here on oahu that do. When the 2010 came out 1 dealer was charging close to 6K markup if im not mistaken.
I was the first camaro on island and i just laughed at everyone paying thst outrageous markup. They just had to have it i guess
