Pennzoil is doing a rebate all year and walmart always has them cheap. I think the rebate is like 2 bucks a quart.

5w30 full synth. Good stuff.

I've used Mobile 1 ext. now on both my cars. I can get free FVP filters, or is it worth it to buy the Wix?

Just an fyi but SuperTech (walmart's store brand) is made by wix now. They're just re-badged as supertech for walmart.

I use fram ultra filters in everything but just putting it out there for those who want wix but want the convenience of just picking it up whenever - wherever you are seeing as wix aren't sold in stores in many places.

Used quantum blue custom blended on my last 3 cars. As long as it meets the dexos requirements, can't go wrong.

I used this filter last time as I liked the reviews, made for syn (whatever that means) and reviews off amazon. I also liked the no slip grip, when used with a nitrile glove, plenty of grab to tighten filter when installing:

A note on saving some money on our expensive 10 qt oil changes...

You can get a 6-pack of Fram XG10575 oil filters for $34.95 on eBay ($5.83/each).

Also, pickup Pennzoil 5W30 Full Synthetic Platinum Motor Oil at Walmart for $24.97 and get a $10 rebate through Pennzoil per 5qt Jug (Max $48 on 25qt). If you use the grocery rebate app iBotta, there is a $5 rebate (extra $10 rebate if you're a new iBotta app user). I use iBotta weekly and have had no problems submitting grocery rebates. And if you have a Discover Card, use Discover Rewards 5% Cashback through Walmart.com (using link from Discovercard.com site). At worst, it's $14.97 for 5qt with just the $10 Pennzoil Rebate or $9.97 with the $5 iBotta rebate. At best, a 5qt jug can be Free or Money Maker (+tax where applicable).

Another note with iBotta - if you buy one 5qt and submit the $5 iBotta rebate, wait a few days and the rebate will reset and you can buy another 5qt and get another $5 rebate.

$35.80 or less for a DIY 10qt Pennzoil Synthetic Oil Change and Filter.

No, just the V8. The V6 takes 5.5 quarts. The 4-cyl takes 5.0 or 5.5 quarts. Here's the fluid capacity page from the manual.
