Grats dude. Keep it up!

I got it, but I was talking about his 11.9 pass...so I just ignored it.

Didn't know you could race in the middle of winter... that's cool. Can't here.

There was a thread, awhile back, it was verified as -2500...not sure if that particular car is on the list or what, no biggie. Not taking away from anyones times. I just think this "stock" street tire thing is not fair and will start to effect others as more and more hit the track.

Heck, the Mustang list I was on allowed wheel tire swaps (just had to be street tires) since many owners like to change things like that. I agreed with that, as that should not make those cars "modified" in respects to a fast list...now, if they swapped to a DR, of course, that I get...IMO as long as it's a street tire, not DR, slick, road race tires, etc......it should still fit the stock categories for all.

...and yes, as long as it's before the first snow fall, they do rentals only.

Tricky situation... looks like those particular tires helped though. If it was my list the replacement tires would have to have similar characteristics to the stockers such as hardness and wear to be considered stock. Great run either way!

Hey Everyone, just heard from the dealer and it was a broken axle. She (my service adviser) did comment about my nice new tires and rims and that they look better than stock and must grip better (smart young lady). So bottom line its being fixed under warranty but she said please dont break them every other week as she didnt want to have to explain to her boss.

well lets just say my best with DR's before yesterday was 12.4 in crap DA (and ran it consistently). If you ask me the DA helped WAAAYYYY more that tires in dropping time. I went from 12.6 to 12.4 going to DR's in summer. Now in October I put street tires back on (not stock ones and go from 12.4 to 11.96!!
Just sayin

Next you gotta try drag radials in good DA. You may hit a tire only 11.8x.

I agree. I would give most of the credit to the DA and not the tires as well. Granted, the cup 2's are probably lighter than the stock run flats (heavy!) and I'm sure your new rims are lighter as well but I just don't see that picking you up a half of a second. I would still consider it stock....

I'm mostly impressed by your back to back identical down to the 1000ths of a second 60 ft times. That's tough to do in a stick shift on any tire!

Thanx Grease Monkey, ya the one thing I've been able to do with the DR's and the street tires is run constant times. with the DR's I was always within hundredths of a second of 12.4X and speeds almost identical at 12.4, 12.4. Yes the rims and tires are noticeably lighter although I have not weighed them I should have! Next time the DR's go on I will weigh them versus stock, DR and new rims.
Like I said earlier I come off the line between 2000 and 2500 ease clutch off (not to slow just enough to keep tires spin down) then hold the gas petal to the floor through the traps.I always shift as soon as it hits 5000rpm then with reaction time delay Im probably in the next gear around 5400ish. Yesterday was the first time I had to hit 4th due to revs so again DA was huge factor.
