Which Supercharger did you chose and Why

I am very conflicted in choosing a supercharger. I don't plan on doing much track time but I would like more power. I really don't plan on doing any other power adders after this. I have read just about every forced induction thread on Camaro6 and Camaro5 along with numerous articles and they are all very informative but what I am looking for from you guys are 5 things:

1. What supercharger do you have?
2. Why did you choose it?
3. What you like most about it?
4. What you dislike most about it?
5. Do you Mainly daily drive or track it?

As an FYI I am leaning toward ProCharger.

I chose the Procharger supercharger mostly for the initial cost factor and not having to remove the stock manifold. Also there is no cutting, etc. to install and is reversible. Not sure if the other superchargers produce more HP, but what I've got is plenty.

Chances are I'll go procharger when I finally pull the trigger. For one, the initial cost and install like Marine said. On another point of my decision, it produces good power with a lot of room to grow into different head units easily with the same mounting points. Basically if I get tired of the P-1, and I'm pushing its limits, I can upgrade without changing the entire system.

Ted - I read a lot of your posts along with all of those folks that appear to have an incredible amount of knowledge on this subject. I found this thread on another board. Do you agree with the information?

I drive mine about 30 miles each way to and from work. Most of the time when I have to get on it, it's to pass. I noticed that I can hit 4000 rpm no problem. My reading tells me that the ProCharger power will be felt around 3000 rpm. What's your experience with that type of driving?

Not necessarily, it is an Opinion based article.

A lot has changed in the industry regarding quality fit finish, efficiency etc.

My first choice for any street car will be a PD blower.

Ted.

1. What supercharger do you have?

Edelbrock E-Force

2. Why did you choose it?

Good power gains, strong torque down low as I want in a DD darting in and out of traffic, and the powertrain warranty that I knew for sure came with it. At the time, the sites selling the Heartbeat didn't say anything about it coming with a tune or powertrain warranty, and I didn't dig deep enough as I should have to see if it did or didn't. Several folks had great success with the Edelbrock at the time so I chose that. In retrospect, knowing what I know now, I would have gone with the heartbeat system.

3. What you like most about it?

Crazy torque especially when IAT's are under 130. Sounds stock and gets about the same gas mileage as stock if you are easy on the throttle. Ultimate sleeper. No blower whine and nobody knows its supercharged until you pop the hood.

4. What you dislike most about it?

Not as efficient as the heartbeat, and as a result the IAT's are about 30 degrees higher on average than the heartbeat system. Also am told it makes a bit too much boost and has too little timing and those should be reversed some. This is with the stock pulley they send on the kit.

5. Do you Mainly daily drive or track it?

Daily driver only, typically in pretty heavy traffic.

You really only DD your supercharged SS? Based on your sig it looks like you frequent the track quite a bit.
