I'm pretty sure this can happen anywhere that uses carts, be it the grocery store, Target, or even Babies 'R Us. This is not a wal-mart specific problem.

While I do not agree with the corporate practices of wal-mart, and put them on part with mcDonald's from a 'corporate ethics' perspective, this comment just makes you sound like an ignorant a$$hole.

I guarantee if i was in that store 5 min longer it would have smashed right into the side of my new SS... WTF??? People are scum!! Unbelievable. Its like i knew before i went in that it would happen. Never again will i take the car to Walmart. Thank god it didnt hit my car!!
I'm sure the person that left their cart in the middle of the parking lot, which managed to NOT hit your car, put it there specifically to hit your car. They saw that sexy beast and thought to themselves "damn. I wish I had that car. So I'm gonna put this thing here, and it may or may not hit that car."

HAHA.

Actually, they probably didn't give your car two looks bc it was too far away, and just left the cart there, got in their car (I'm sure you'd tell us that it was a 30 year old civic with a fart-can and bad tint) and then drove off, burping black smoke and making awful noises. Oh, and there were probably 9 people crammed into that civic. That's what people who shop at wal-mart do, no?

I don't disagree with you that parking lots are a place of pain for some nicer cars, but the idea that someone intentionally did this is ludicrous, if you ask me. Then again, judging from your attitude, perhaps it's just karma for being a d*ck. Who knows. At least you learned your lesson without receiving a scratch on your car, so all is still right with the world

Hey to each each there own. Maybe you live in a wonderful place where people are amazing. I live in the Northeast where people are A holes. I met my wife when i was in the Army. She moved here to live with me from the Midwest after i got out. Her first week here when she went grocery shopping she came home crying her eyes out with multiple stories of how rotten people where to her at the store and some lady actually threatened her and tried to fight her. So you can say its ne all you want and thats fine. But i know what im talking about. And i do respect other peoples stuff so dont know how it would be Karma? But hey whatever. If they put the kart there on purpose or not doesn't matter it they should have put it back. . Not only can it hit cars but it takes up a parking spot. And i never said anything about 9 people crammed in a Honda with a fart can. You did. Sounds like your pretty judgmental yourself.

I've found that if you park just far enough out to not look like you are trying to protect your car, you're usually pretty safe. From time to time I'll come out of the store with a nicer car parked next to me that has the same idea, as they know I won't ding their door leaving.

Whatever you do, Don't take up multiple parking spots.

I just try to avoid Walmart altogether especially on Fridays. There is a long line that goes outside for people to cash checks.

Whoever mentioned 9 people in a Civic with a fart can, at Walmart. I know you were exaggerating for affect, but I've seen it. Cracks me up every time too.

Just ignore them man. If people wanna get butthurt because you typed something, they probably are indeed the Wal-Mart scum you describe. I'm with you 100%. I go there too, I put my cart back when I'm done and try not to cuss around kids. Does that make us better than anyone? No. Just means we have common sense /courtesy.

OP, no offense but you don't sound like a very happy person. We all love our Camaros, but when any car becomes put on a pedistool so much so that you become overly defensive against other people and generalizing them, it's worth pausing to reevaluate priorities in life.

I'd hate to see what would have gone down if the cart was actually resting on your vehicle. Probably screaming at the folks at the customer service desk asking to get access to their security camera footage?

If that's a false assumption, is it any worse than your own generalizations about people who shop at Walmart? :P

As a disclaimer: I shop at Walmart sometimes. In my area, it sits between the crossroads of economically advantaged and disadvantaged people. I see poor people shopping out of necessity and rich people shopping just to save a few cents. There are really diverse values of the kind of cars you'd see in their lot. The area is shady and there was even a recent homicide in the lot for a drug deal gone wrong, but AFAIK nobody has intentionally defaced a car out of spite.

Thanks.. I agree. Im actually surprised people on here got so but hurt about me bringing up the fact that Walmart parking lots are a zoo.. I guess they dont mind people leaving there karts all over the parking lots to ghost ride right onto peoples vehicles because there too lazy to put them back. Kinda crazy. I guess the fact that i have common scense and im courtious and i expect others to be the same that makes me a crazy angry guy?? Ok. Lol

I don't know, but it seems to me that Wal-Mart is a just a store like any other store. 95% of the people that go to any given Wal-Mart live in the general area of that given Wal-Mart, basically your neighbors. Of those, 99% are there to just get what they need and get out and go on about their lives and couldn't care less about your car, or even notice it, unless of course, you put it out in the middle of the desert all alone. Then those 99% will drive by it on the way out and say, "Look, a Camaro, and whatever their opinion may be and never think about it again."

Then yes, there is that 1%. For this group of people, I think that parking out in the desert only manages to single you car out to them. Add that, while it reduces cover for any mischievous activities, it also reduces get away time. Just something to think about. Me, I park just far enough to avoid the cluster, but close enough to not appear like a snob nosed jerk. I also avoid peak shopping days and hours like the plague.

What's with all the PC?
We've all seen "The people of Wal-Mart". Ever notice they don't have the people of Wendy's, or the people of Target?
Just because you shop there doesn't make you a scum bag, yet it is an obvious place to see them.
Cussing in front of kids, or even people you don't know, makes you a scumbag. No reason for it whatsoever, except to say "Hi. I'm a douchebag."

Yeah I don't get it why people on here act butt hurt because you say Walmart parking lots are zoo's, they most certainly are. I didn't see you calling people scum because they shop at Walmart so I don't know why they took it that way.
