HELP: Service Brake Assist

Replaced my front brake pads (Carbotech XP10) with new Carbotech XP12 ( one step up in aggressiveness ).
Test drove it and did pad bed in yesterday. All went well.
This morning after 5 miles of driving, got a warning light 'Service Brake Assist' and the brake pedal stared vibrating with every press.
Already tracked my car several times with the previous XP10.
Thanks for your help.

Did you change just the pads or rotors too? If not, still using the stock rotors? Little more detail might help.

Just pads (front ). Using stock rotors.
Rear pads are XP8 (did not change yesterday)

had that happen to me about a month ago, had a thread on it here somewhere. but I have the 6 pot and ended up doing somewhat of a hard stop from 110 back down to 70 upon entering the express way. Dealer couldn't find anything odd, so they just reset the code and has not been back since.

Were you using stock pads?

Update: after letting the car rest for 30 min and restarting , the error code went away. Called 2 local dealers and both said without an active error code they cannot help
More than that , they wanted $125 as a diagnostic fee. Crazy world. I guess GM is just waiting for me to have a brake failur.

My 2016 2SS did this a couple weeks ago. As soon as I started it up i got the "Service Brake Asssist" warning. Drove out the driveway and the pedal felt a little like the ABS was pulsing although I don't think it was. The car stopped fine... just had longer travel of the brake pedal. I got to my destination in about 5 minutes. Shut the car off, went in to eat dinner. Came back out and all was fine. Haven't had the issue since.

I chocked it up to a weird electrical gremlin...

I wonder if the vibration is a programmed item that makes you aware of the code, since it is in the braking (safety) system, they may want more than just a light indicator on the DIC?

I would not look at it as free....I paid for a car that has a warranty.

The owners manual says it's normal to feel the pulsation, once this warning is on.
