Another benefit of E85...

This is about 10 days of driving and WOT runs... the one tip just has some condensation on it from idling.

A definite plus! What should someone expect to spend on the complete E85 switch? I've been trying to keep up on your progress, but I'm sure I don't know all of the details.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

I don't know what DSX will sell the kit for but their C7 kit is $400. It is truly plug and play. The only other part of the process is enabling the FF sensor in HP Tuners and tweaking a couple of tables. That's about it. I will put a guide out for the HP Tuners side of this once my sensor kit arrives. Having gone the straight E85 tune route in the past few weeks has forced me to identify areas that need to be tweaked even with the FF sensor. The IAT spark adder tables weren't calibrated with E85 in mind so if you don't adjust them according you will have too much spark advance in cooler temps.

Assuming you can get E85 readily and are willing to break the seal on the ECM there isn't a single bolt on mod that delivers as much bang for the buck as this. I think Rotofab, headers, MSD intake, and Flex Fuel (E85) will make for one excellent street combination. Add some DRs and you should see some mid to low 11s cars in good weather.

Tim

Wow, I expect that to be a very popular mod. Thanks for the endless supply of information!

Yes... for a bolt on car we shouldn't have any problem with the stock fuel system. Adding H/C will very likely necessitate LT4 pump and injectors.

This is the mod I'm most excited about currently. I have a E85 station right down the street from me too. Thanks TSloper for all the info and work going into this.

Dave is a wizard at tuning and obviously other parts of the electronice and fuel system side also. He works for Daniel at Finnspeed and they build some serious billet wheels for drag racing and road racing. His wheels are not cheap, but the technology that goes into his billet wheels is second to none. He used to have his wheel company about 10 miles from me here in Missouri but got a great deal and now he is in Austin at the F1 track. First class and Dave makes it just one step better.
