You could remove the Bose amp from the equation entirely for another 500 or so. Get a MOST bus DSP and then provide your own amp for the speakers. I think all of them have a model with software control that will let you selectively choose which signals get mixed and which are ignored (like ANC, OnStar, etc).

Adding 10/12" Sub
So where is this thread ending? I really would like to add a nice 10 or 12" sub to my 2SS, but if no one can figure this out than whats the point? I certainly don't want to take my car to a custom install only to have the same issues everyone else is having.
What is really needed to correctly install a single sub in a 2SS. Obviously a sub and amp... JL Audio 10", CS110TG-TW3 JL Audio JX500/1D But is this needed? http://www.audiocontrol.com/car-audi...-upgrade/lc2i/ or is it a waste? Do I need to get a MOST unit and throw the bose stuff away? Again I just want to add a nice single sub in the trunk to reduce the load on the other speakers and get a little better sound. I have no problem spending $1000 if needed, but I'm not looking to spend too much more. Thanks in advance, and Im surprised there is not more info on this subject out there as the speakers do kinda suck in all factory cars.... |

I'll try to troubleshoot the problem by playing with the ANC signals and see if it goes away. But I have this bad feeling that I won't be able to remedy the issue... We will see.

Here is a picture of the back of the radio. You pull the center piece off the center of the radio around the knob on the front and there are screws holding the radio down. The radio than hinges upward to get to the wires to disconnect. Hope that helps!

I used to be a huge AudioControl fan years ago. I have had bad experiences with the processors bought lately, so I will not buy from them again. However a JL Audio processor saved my latest installation, it was a CleanSweep DSP, now discontinued for another more advanced model. Installing a Sub only without upgrading the rest of the system, may not turn out that well, there needs to be balance between frequencies, and the Camaro lacks mid tones in the front, so more bass will make mid tones appear even lower. Edit: I now believe that the main problem with the Bose system is that the subwoofers get distorted badly when playing low notes at higher volume levels, the rest of the system is pretty good. May be a sub and bass blockers for the stock subwoofers will do just fine, I will try it and report findings, I will need to build the bass blockers for the 2 ohm speakers at 150 or 200 Hz. I getting noise interference when pressing the gas pedal. I had this problem after the system was installed and they fixed it in 5 minutes, but I did not ask them what they did. After a auto accident I am now having the same problem. A freind told me the power and rca cables are to close somewhere but they appear to be running to opposite sides of the car. I am getting a loud buzzing noise at 2500 rpm even when I mute the radio, it is really loud. Looking for any advice.

Look at your grounds. Most likely something isnt ground properly anymore. Thats if you cut the ANC mics from your amp.

Try checking all the grounding points, sounds like you could have a fault ground connection.

There is no MOST, Fiber Optic, or any other central media stream core in the Camaro. The technology was coined in the late 90s as an alternative to fiber and to generate their own royalty fees. Most of the Car Audio industry had already rejected digital interconnects before the turn of the century though there are a few rare exceptions. Those that do offer it, have limited options and generally incompatible with anyone else and most are not even sold here in the United States. While GM appears to be using MOST with some of their larger vehicles, the Camaro utilizes the IDB-C "media connector", aka "Molex". Rainbow Audio has options to use an Ethernet cable, but such a transmission line compatibility is extremely rare. Furthermore, since their only real benefit is to assist with 'balanced levels', worthless as electronics today have no balanced issues. Arc Audio discussed adding it in 2015, but never did and Mosconi has no digital interconnects. The only thing running between the head unit and the amplifier at the rear of the Camaro are 20-22awg copper analog signal wires.

I think we need the pin-out for the X4 connector. That is the only one not posted yet. Incoming signal is supposed to be MOST on x4.
