Guess I will have to go south during the winter and stay out of mountains until spring.

Do those black foamy looking things he's recommending really work?

Putting mine in Underground Storage...basically an old mine converted to store vehicles and documents.

Constant temperature of 65 degrees and constant humidity of 65 percent.

Have a friend that stores his Mustang GT there every year and says that it looks as good the day he picks it up as the day he dropped it off. No moisture, no rust on the rotors, etc...

How much do they charge for something like that? I don't think I have any old mines near me in CT but I'm just curious.

This is what I always went by with motorcycles. It was something about the creation of moisture when you start it up and run it for just a little bit.

Not worried about salt with the new materials used today.
Not sure about up there in Canada but my dad is a mechanic (owns his own shop) and he said within the past year or two they've had many new vehicles, I'm talking only a few years old, have the brake lines rotting out from corrosion. He said it's due to what they are putting down on the roads here. Our state DOT uses some type of pre-treater when it's going to snow and he thinks that may be the culprit as the regular salt itself was never quite that potent.

Yup...same thing where I live. That stuff eats brake lines and causes lots of accidents because people don't wash their cars/trucks. They use it because it costs cities less. They don't have to put it down as often as they did with salt.

This what I think I'm going with for my winter storage in my attached garage...what do you guys think?

Race Ramps (RR-FS) - https://www.amazon.com/Race-Ramps-RR...+flat+stoppers

Fuel Stabilizer (Sta-bil 22214) - https://www.amazon.com/STA-BIL-22214...MWG99Q6Y2Z5R27

Battery Charger (CTEK 56-353 Multi US 7002) - https://www.amazon.com/CTEK-56-353-1...attery+charger

I'll put some drier sheets in the car and exhaust pipe, and also throw some mothballs under it on the garage floor to keep mice away. Car will also be covered.

I live in Norther WI and am going to trying the race ramps and battary tender this winter. I've heard good things about the ramps. Car is stored in garage heated about 50 degrees. during winter
