Which has the advantage from a highway roll? Or lower roll runs? What if the manual driver is good at and willing to no lift shift?

Your crazy to buy a 17, the discounts on the 16's are just killer or you'll be like the one's like me to buy one 10 months ago and then GM drop the price 10k. Don't do it, buy a 16

There was a 16 that was marked down to $32k online. When i looked for it again later in the day i couldnt find it. Im guessing it was sold. Most of the 16s are gone already in my area. At least the SS are anyway.

I'm sure if u pick the auto u will be happy, I have the m6, I finally raced an auto version, no passengers we did four runs, two from a dig and two from 40 roll. The first two runs we were neck and neck and the last two I got him by half a car. I thought I was gonna lose for sure. Anyways either one is cool but I think it's much more much manual.

Rev match was a life saver in the crazy roads of Cali.

Drive both. I drove a 6 SPD and found the gears way too spaced out (80+ mph in second, really?). I drove the 8 spd and it just felt so much better. It was an easy call for me.

Drive both & try the M6 with the kid in back, I bet you find it real hard to fit anyone with legs back there & kids grow like weeds.

Sounds like you must be a hard core drag racer if the 3 tenths is so high a priority. So 8 speed it is.

Just a question - If it is just the occasional drag race you do & the car is really more of a DD & fun car, maybe that 3 tenths isn't as important in overall satisfaction over the long term of ownership? I had manuals in all my fun cars for a lot of years, this time I wanted an auto (bad left knee that needs eventual replacement), but really couldn't find one like I wanted out here, so I got the M6. I have to say this Tremec & the clutch set up is the nicest I have ever had, so no regrets about getting the M6 for me (until I do get the knee replacement where it will sit for a while). But I never drag race either, so for me it's just the connection with the car.

Nothing lie manual man. Especially with the fantastic LT1, i really believe you'll have a lot more fun with the M6. Just my opinion though.

I just got it tonight. I went with the Manual. I drove the Manual and it was the best manual set up ive ever driven. Super smooth light clutch and it shifts amazing. And as of right now my 6 year old fit behind me and i could shift just fine. The Auto is great especially if you live in the city with stop and go traffic or hard core straight line drag racing. But the Manual is better for me as i live out in the country and love shifting through the gears on the country curvy roads and it will be better for circle track and road racing. Two different styles. This Manual was to good to let go.

Awesome! I agree this manual is to die for! I am jealous of you having curves roads. Have next to none here in Florida
