The split in the seat hits me right in the tail bone and drives me nuts.

When in manual mode, the delay from the time I shift until the actual shift takes place feels like an eternity. I feel it's way to slow.

That's all.
If these are your main complaints, then I can assume you are in love with the car....right? Because this is all pretty minor stuff.

Concerning your last point...I guess its a matter of perspective, but I think the A8 shifts plenty quick under manual mode. Sure, it lags a big when you shift under normal driving, but you should try hammering it and then banging off the shifts when near redline....its a different animal under those conditions. (at least mine seems to be)

Are you excited about anything in life. Most of us smile every time we start our Camaro up. My dog is the best dog I've ever had; she's a pleasure everyday: once in awhile she farts; doesn't ruin my day.

I think the thread starter was making a point that so few things are wrong that the list is very short. I may be wrong, but I don't think he was dogging the car.

I dont like that the only way to turn off the wifi is to either pull the fuse (disabling the in-car mic also) or drop the lower dash and disconnect.

edit: looks like might be able to do this via the mychevrolet app. so disregard above
edit2: disabling via the app requires access to onstar cell service (which i already removed) ... even while connected to the wifi.
It's amazing that there is no option directly through mylink. Physical removal it is.

Alot are hating on the OP. I dont understand why. We shouldnt all be so fan boy(ish) that you cannot admit when GM didnt get something perfect.

Every car will have its issues. Frankly, given the list you made, I would say you are pretty happy with the car. If the fuel filler door has made the list, that means there are thousands of other things that are working how they intended.

I dont have mine yet but its in the mail (still 1100 wtf).

- The parking brake button just baffles me, where is my handle?!
- Too light of clutch. I like an old school heavy clutch feel. Especially on a performance car.

I will make it work and cant wait to get my 1LE!

We all know what's good about the car. Just though I'd point out some weak points in my opinion.

Welcome to the forums. Your username certainly rang true on this thread! But, like any model-specific forum, you'll always have the chest-thumping die-hards defend the car as if it's life or death.

Personally, here is my list:
  • Windshield fogging in high dew point environments (read: southeast US) and GM states it's supposed to do that
  • No ability to turn 4G LTE on/off through infotainment system, must be done via OnStar or MyChevrolet app (driving through a lot of really rural areas I lose cell phone reception, but haven't lost reception via the car's 4G LTE)
  • The latches on the front seats to access the back seats are cheap and one already broke (to which my dealership fixed under warranty)
  • The paddle shifters, while fun, do have a rather noticeable delay when shifting

... that's all I can think of really.

Even after all of the problems I've had corrected and 6 of my first 9 weeks of ownership were spent with the dealership, it's still the most fun car I've ever owned. By a mile.

My only complaints:

- I traded a full size truck, so I really miss the lack of storage...there is nowhere to put anything in this car
- Brake dust from Hell...never seen it this bad lol
- Lack of a spare tire...what kind of man calls for help with a flat? I'm just old school
- The window ledge is really high, makes it hard to lay your arm up there like a good redneck while driving
- Skanky women are attracted to the car
- It didn't come with CAI, headers, more aggressive cam, ported heads, 228 wheels, and a blower
- Too many other cars on the road...I can't have enough fun

Rattle from the dash (hopefully fixed during first service visit)
Rattles from door panels when music is on(hopefully fixed when I install dynamat)
Lack of storage
and of course the fogged up windshield on warm humid mornings which GM says is normal
overall I love the car though

Ditto! My 2015 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi is rough as a cob when in V4 mode. I wish it was as seamless as the Chevys I've had that have cylinder deactivation.

Isn't the cylinder deactivation problem solved by the M6 transmission?

-The seat not reclining far enough to take nap
-The skip shift activating when I'm going up a hill
-Break dust

That being said, I still love the car and wouldn't trade it for anything. We are allowed to bitch about some things once in a while.

LOL. Agreed.

Deal with it or trade it for something else. Go to another forum and bad-mouth their brand!

Seat not reclining far enough for me is my biggest complaint. The 1-4 skip shifting is a huge pain in the ass. I will redline before using it.
