Becky would know for sure...but If you just needed a name for a sold unit to be produced, all, any dealer would have to do is pick a bunch of names from the phone book....

......I ordered a 2015 3500HD and the dealer need allocation for the diesel option

...because it is ordered "sold" does not matter..
Available Allocation is needed to "place" the order.

If allocation is available - current order cycle closes Tuesday.

Is the 4300 status actually before the 4200 status even though numerically it is not? Curious what would be the next code.

4300 & 4200 are used interchangeably - initially.
The next will be 4B00 -
Then 4200 when shipped.

They do not follow numerical order...
