I finished up my weekend project this morning. I installed my full Street scene kit and painted my calipers with G2. I am very happy with the results. Onto the next mod, lol.

Looks great! How many coats of G2 did you end up going with? Any issues with the paint starting to dry up in the can before you finished up? How about brushes?

Thank you! I used three coats of paint. I had no issues with the paint drying up in the can at all. I used some much better quality brushes that I grabbed from Lowes to apply the paint. The brush included in the kit IMO is junk.

I don't have a picture of the brush, but I used a Wooster Ox hair 3/8" and 1/2" brush. I did paint them while on the car.






I had to redo that bremo decal as the first attempt was crooked....unless you tilt your head that is.

Thanks for the update! Did you use the included brake cleaner and did you do any additional cleaning of the calipers or surrounding areas?

Yes, I did use the included cleaner. Before using that I just wiped them down with a wet soapy towel and used a wire brush to just make sure I got them as clean as possible. I then used the included contact cleaner.

Thanks again! Looking to do mine next weekend - was debating on doing 4 coats, but 3 looks great! On my Gen5 I had used the DupliColor kit, the G2 seems to be much better quality and finish.

I got my ACS spoiler back from paint yesterday and slapped it on. Was about a 30min install, and it looks sooo much better than the stock SS spoiler. I also purchased the wicker bill add-on from ZL1, buuuut I'm not so sure about it now. We'll see I guess..

Everything looks great! I also found 3 coats of G2 to cover just fine.

Beautiful car! I am still debating on getting the full Street Scene body kit or going with a different side skirt. I have a couple of questions; how hard was the install? Did you paint it or have it plasti dipped? Does the abs plastic feel strong to take a couple of accidental parking curb hits? Thanks in advance and thanks for posting your beautiful hyper blue car

Thank you, I appreciate it. The install wasn't bad at all. Just make sure you pre-fit everything before getting it painted. I used a few extra screws then what they provided to secure it. I had mine painted. The pieces are urethane not ABS . I'm no expert, but I think that the polyurethane is a lot better than ABS. I think it could handle some hits, but I wouldn't want to test that out..lol
