Question about hill assist and the Recaro's
Does the 1SS/1LE have hill assist?
Also, how adjustable are the Recaro's? I noticed that I felt a lot better when I could lift the seats up in the 2SS when I drove it, so that it didn't feel as 'low'. Can the Recaro's be adjusted in a multitude of ways? I don't think they are the 20 way Recaro's in a CTS-V, so I was curious if anyone knew. |

At this point none of us that I know of have actually seen in person a set of these Recaros. So I'm not sure anyone can actually answer the seat question with authority.
No idea on Hill Assist, I have not seen it mentioned anywhere. |

The more I thought about it.......
If you need hill assist, I think you are looking at the wrong car entirely. For any number of reasons really. |

Controls on the Recaros are the same.
I would hazard a guess that 95% of the frame is the same. Slightly larger side support bars probably to support the higher bolsters. Recaro recline alot further back as well. My 1SS has Hill Assist.

I also sat in the car when I was out at LS. Didn't try to mess with the seat at all but it was very supportive and it didn't seem like I was sitting too low, I'm not a tall guy so I too like to put the seat up a bit in my 5th gen.

I don't NEED hill assist, but wanted to know if it was an included feature, given that so many of the newer manuals come with it, and wanted to know if the 1ss models had them.

The 1SS does have hill assist. I didn't even know until I was driving in Hermosa Beach and noticed it kicking in. It is pretty cool.

If I recall thr adjustents on the SS 1LE are the typical 10 way adjustable. Not 20 way like the Caddy's.

Interestingly, the ZL1 Recaro seats felt perfect and they are supposedly the exact same seats. The black 1SS 1LE was a protype though, so it's possible it didn't have the final production intent hardware. |
