They've only been on for a week tomorrow. The first day I had them on I was out driving around to get a feel for them and it rained almost the entire time. They were great in the rain, that much I can tell you. When I go to AZ in December I can give you a better report about their cold weather ability but I'm sure you'll experience that well before I will!

What size tires did you go with? I'm still unsure on which brand and sizes I want. I'm gonna start the search this weekend and check out tirerack and Walmart. Almost time for my first oil change as well.

They are all stock sizes except the rears are 285 and not 275, all other sizes are factory. BFGoodrich Comp-2 AS tires.

They said the same thing when I ordered them. I chatted online with one of their customer reps and he confirmed they had them in stock. The rears were shipped from Colorado, the fronts from Louisiana.

Just finished chatting with Tire Rack. They confirmed the 285 rears were in stock. At first he said no, that they wouldn't be available until mid November which bummed me out. Would be risky to try and make it until then. But then I mentioned the actual rear sizes I wanted and it turned out he was checking for the stock 275 rears instead lol. Looks like I'll be ordering them this week hopefully.

Any reason you went with 285's over the stock 275's, Blue? I also have to get me an inflation kit.

Yeah, they told me BFG didn't make Comp-2's in 275 otherwise I would've gotten them!

I was trying to order the tires and kept giving me an error message telling me the rears were not in stock, even tho it said they were on back order and the person I chatted with said I could order them, and to remove them from my cart to continue. It had me so confused and stuck for a moment. I did a little searching and found the same tires on the site expect with a speed rating of 100Y instead of 100W that weren't on back order and I could order without a problem.

I'm not sure if having different speed ratings on the front and rears really matters? I don't plan on getting up to and above 168mph with these tires on regardless lol.

Yeah, like I said, I kept my GY's for the times I expect to go fast and and turn fast. My BFG's are purely for DDing and trips. I don't mind the 285's at all, they look a wee bit wider from the back!

Check for rubbing in the fender well. Some people have reported that with different sized tires and have rubbed through a wiring harness underneath the liner. Sledgehammer has a video on that. Good luck. I hope you're OK with that size.

His video is on sizes 305 and bigger. I've driven about 150 miles, both on the highway and off and have neither heard nor felt any rubbing issues in the back. The fronts are stock 245 size.

Yeah I saw the issues with stock wheels and sizes 305 and up. 285 should be good to go 2 sizes down. I believe I read that some people on here were driving around with 295's on the rear stock wheels without any issues as well.

Tirerack actually called me to confirm the 285/35 rears were the right size I wanted which I thought was pretty cool. Great customer service.
