So I know we all complain about the brake dust the Brembos make but after last night I'm very impressed with their stopping ability.

I went to the local Thursday night cruise in like I always do. And when I leave it quicker and easier to jump on I40 for couple miles then back off and I'm home a couple turns later. Well I was about 3-4 car lengths behind the car in front of me. Then all of a sudden they came to a complete stop on I40. I was doing 68. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure to bring vehicle to stop and keep from hitting them. Didn't have to stand on brakes nor did I skid or the car fight me. Came to stop with about 2 feet left. Was scary but I was impressed. I didn't think I was going to stop in time but did. That new braking ability they talk about is real. I checked on the two people in front of me (hit each other). Everyone was okay and I could've used clean drawers lol. But yeah GM Engineering for that win.

Pics from cruise in before the brake test lol.

Pretty cool stuff. Here I put the weather and settings up in place of the text and lighting that was up by default.

Is a really cool feature in modern cars. Glad they started to allow this option. I always hated past layouts where you couldn't change things.

That's what I like about it. The driver has full control. That's how a car should be. Great driving man.

Wow man. First off, glad you are OK. Second, glad that dang H50 is ok. Third, I dislike the the brake dust, but I have squeazed these brakes and they are REALLY GOOD.

Stay safe my friend. Pics are great as always.

OMG....my nerves would be shot for the next 48 hours. An inattentive teen caused a 3 car accident involving my old 5th gen with 1600 on the odo (at that time) so I know the dreadful feeling! Glad you, the car, and your nerves are OK.

Yes the braking ability in this car is the best I've ever driven. Thanks!

Thanks Heath! But yeah I was more worried about tearing up my baby with only 1700 on the odometer than anything else lol. But yeah all ok and he's very good brakes.

My nerves were shot for the next hour or so. Dang! Yeah I've only got 1700 so I would've been crying on the side of the road had I wrecked.

Yup I'm good and thanks!

I'm pretty much in the same position and thought.

I'm planning on only minor mods, cosmetic mainly. I'm pretty impressed with the car the way it is.

I have been rolling the same thing around in my head. I think I will add a small touch or two outside the car and under the hood to set it apart from any other 50th AEs that I run across at Cars & Coffee or shows. Otherwise, I think I will stay pretty true to stock.

Tint the windows, add black bow ties, a strut brace, add a oil catch can, change the side reflectors, add the blacked out tail lights and update all the lighting LEDs. Otherwise it will remain stock!

There are a few on lots up here... so I have him looking for an A8, MRC, NPP, Black Bows ( can always be changed at the shop), Nav.

Wont be hard - just waiting on my GM employee discount code from a friend and its order time.. I expect to pay mostly cash for it in three weeks.. house sale closes.. but as nothing is ever 100%, I want the profits in the bank before I commit to 50K cash.

I'm also bored at parties, my stories are always too long and I go to bed at 9:00 pm.

If I can't poke fun at myself then I have no business doing it to others.
