My account finally got approved so I can post!!

In Canada we won't have them until 2017 spring..but I did go to the dealer and they will be putting in orders next week

Getting the white zl1!!!!

There are 50ths already sold and delivered in Canada. Unless you're specifically talking about the ZL1.

yeah the ZL1! I saw a few of the v6's and v8's..they're awesome. I really wanted the hyperblue color but once I saw it in person I stuck with white.

Yeah that Hyper Blue is awesome. I almost did that. Then saw the 50th and the rest is history lol.

I too was thinking of changing pads and going with some carbon-ceramics (I think that's what they were). I'd seen someone mention them on another thread. No too expensive either.
However, I don't have the tools currently to perform such a change nor do I have any mechanic friends that I could get help from. I REALLY don't want to do this at a dealer.

Suggestions for brand/type?
(BTW, I'm giving the forum a look-see as well.)

I have an M6 and barely use my brakes (downshift, coast, anticipate, California rolling stops) and it just doesn't matter. I go a mile to work and come home and I have to clean the dust off the rims!

Yeah, nothing much we can do when it comes to high performance brakes.
BMWs, even the Lexus GS with 4 pot front brakes were terrible in terms of brake dust.
I'll just make a habbit of wiping the wheels every 2 or 3 days. No biggie

I've been researching it as well, the carbon/ceramics are the ones I want as well, I think.

My car is a manual 6 too, but during break-in I try not to down shift for engine breaking.

The inside of the wheels and brake calipers is my concern. The wheel "face" is easy to clean. The calipers and inside of the wheel, not so much.
