I said that mine is doing this too Team Wheel 6 but I'm not too concerned at this time. I live in Georgia and we have high humidity here also and it seems from the posts like was said it happens in the states where humidity is present. I'm not a brand fanboy but this gen 6 Camaro is quite a remarkable sports car. At least GM kept it alive and didn't replace it with a frontdrive econobox! It amazes me what people are finding wrong with this car. It is being nitpicked to death on some things. I guess mine is a good one so far. I have a couple of concerns but I will wait until they become big problems. Good luck with your Camaro and getting your fogging issue resolved.

with the window fog situation

If I ever die in a crash in the morning or night. It was caused by the windows fogging up. My dealership told me to just drive with the window wipers on.,,, All of a sudden the bugs that I smeared onto my window because Chevy told me to... Almost killed me coming back from my fathers open heart surgery yesterday. I will be contacting GMC and I will be pissed.

I have found a way to stop the fogging without putting anything on the windows. With the dash vents blowing hit the floor vent as well, both vents should be blowing now. This will stop the air from blowing up to the defrost vents. Let it run for awhile then turn off floor vents and it shouldn't fog the windshield anymore.

Winshield fogging issue

I live in south florida and my RS windshield does fog up on the bottom middle.
Frankly its restricting my vision and is a safety hazard. Paid $40K for this car and this should not be a issue. I have had other problems with this car.
Overheat warning form a corroded fan module connector, dealer didn't find it but then the recall was issued. Also the passenger power recliner stopped functioning. Had to bring the car in for that issue. So far I believe the car has been in and out of the dealers shop for 13 days.
Never had a issue with my previous car 2008 Acura TL.
Not nitpicking here..... the truth speaks for itself.

Is the humidity high most of the time where you are? I think it's directly related to outside humidity.

Yes the humidity is high in South Florida. There must be cold air escaping to the defrost duct vent. It makes the windshield cold on the bottom middle of the glass causing condensation.

Spot on.

Condensation seems to only be on the outside of the windshield. Also only seems to be happening early in the morning or late at night, when the sun isn't out blazing down at full force.

Not a huge issue, but definitely annoying as it obstructs vision to a degree.

If your live in a state where you actually sweat when it is hot outside, then don't buy the Camaro. I have checked out a couple Mustangs some co-workers have and neither of them fog up like my car does.

GM needs to get their head out of their asses. They changed every part in this car except a pair of badges and not enough T&E was done. I would not buy a 6th gen Camaro again unless these kind of issues are addressed.

This is the hard part. I absolutely love my car. I share your thoughts about all the wonderful things about our gen 6 camaro's. Mechanically it is sound, plenty fast, handles and brakes great but as it has been stated before this issue is more than an annoyance. My wife while she thinks my car is drop dead gorgeous is afraid to drive it with a windshield covered in condensation constantly. It's unsafe and why in the hell did we buy an SS with ac if we can't use it or have to turn it up to ambient outside temps just to prevent this from happening? If we wanted no ac would have waited for the z28 race car without ac because turning ac up or off and rolling windows down is ridiculous especially in the sunburn state. The fact that GM is so cavalier about it along with the bogus generic instant messages from a virtually non existent quality department is what is rubbing so many the wrong way.

I believe I have the solution. I've been away from the forum lately but as soon as I can I will update this thread with my solution and trust me it won't be a scamazon mouse pad or a freaking towel.

Regardless what any of us come up with it is still disappointing that GM doesn't give a rats a$$ to at least offer up some sort of a solution to prevent the dash leaking cold ac on the windshield causing an immense amount of condensation build up for those of us in humid climates.

A pre-fit solution of some sort? I may be interested in this even if I don't have the issue. My car will not be a daily driver, and not driven in the rain, so I wouldn't mind a cover for that defroster vent regardless...

Keep us all posted.

Mine does the same thing... we had a 2011 Camaro and never had this issue. I'm really upset with the fact that GM like said above "coulnd't give a rat's A$$ about it"... only way they're going to address it, is if one of their family members has this vehicle and dies while driving it because they couldn't see out the front window... it's sad really... i'm sure they could fix it easily if they really wanted to
