Navigation is required for PDR so it will be an option through selecting the PDR.

Pretty much the only option you can get when you select the 1LE package.

Has that finally been settled? Every time I've commented about NAV/PDR, the comments just circle and nothing is formally listed outside of them being independent options that didn't seem to be required for the other and/or the possibility that GPS is what's needed and is included on the car regardless, it's just the NAV portion (and related code/functions) aren't there since the PDR makes the track map after a lap and isn't being required to verbally or graphically direct you around the country.

The GPS is needed for the PDR. All three 1LE's had the PDR installed. (the V6 and V8 for the lightning laps and the V8 for Best Driver's Car).

GPS isn't installed regardless as you would use your phone for navigation without the PDR option which runs through the Apple Carplay or Android Auto. At which point you are limited by the signal strength of your phone. (which has GPS built in).

GPS, yes. But, it's my understanding that all cars with OnStar installed have a GPS receiver of some sort. That's how they can locate the vehicle and that's the part I was referring it. It's just that the nav portion isn't there to talk to the GPS module to provide that data. Same with PDR, it ties in to the GPS system but GPS isn't a part of NAV or PDR directly as they're different pieces that just talk to each other.

I see that IO6 has the extension cable and what looks like GPS itself for the NAV -- but, there are several on here that have ordered ZL1s and they reported not having to check NAV with PDR and that there was no error checking them both.

I'd thought that PDR required and came with NAV as well, since that's how it is on the C7s that have it, until it starting getting challenged where since 1SS doesn't get NAV and people were showing their orders where you could indeed seemingly opt for PDR w/o it and they were two separate options, unlike the Corvettes.

Interesting. I will reach out to some people and see if I can find out.

Cool.

This thread had the topic of 1,300 for PDR before Becky's thread hit with prices shortly after. If you take the 495 cost for our IO6 NAV MyLink and add it to the PDR, it's exactly the price of the C7's NAV/PDR combo.. Which added to the thought that they were split up

and sensors-- which are a nice feature for this car given the poor visibility out the back. Granted, having the camera is huge, but the sensors would be a plus.

I hope they offer a 2SS/1LE. There is something to be said for an exceptional track car that can also offer GT comfort as a daily driver. Many more people would appreciate that than wouldn't...
agreed

I hope they offer a 2SS 1LE so we don't have to have more threads started to hear people whining that they don't have change lane sensors and cool interior lights.

I hope we get it so we can stop seeing posts from people who think the extra few pounds would reduce their lap times or that someone else having a 2SS 1LE would some how stretch out their sphincter. Neither will occur unless the person posting is the reincarnation of Senna and/or looking for a sphincter stretching experience which I would submit is a personal decision having nothing to do with cars or a hypothetical 2SS specifically.
