How's it feel?

Did any of you come from a 5th gen to 6th gen v6? I'd love to hear some comparisons in terms of performance. Same for you all that's went from an 8 to an 8.

Some of us know that feeling going from a 5g 6 to a 6g 8 and there is only one comparison I can think of. That it feels like a Camaro, it's still got the DNA of the 5th which is awesome.

Heard a story today where they cut threads off of some bolts during the development phase to save a few ounces. That's impressive.

Now that the word is getting out about how well made this car is, and with the ZL1 and 1LE's on their way, I think 2017 will be a good year for the Camaro.

Thoughts?

I went from a 5th gen V6 to a 6th gen V8. And man what a difference. And love it!

Love the 6th gen. And still love and miss my 5th gen.

Here is a pic of my old one (miss it) and my new one.

Wow that 5th gen is nice. Like that color. On the first pic I thought the vinyl was torn off until I took a closer look.

I went from a 5th Gen 6 to a 6th Gen 6 and the motors are pretty similar when in v6 mode. However the cars themselves are completely different. The gen6 is so much lighter and more nimble. It's really impressive how different the cars are and how much better the gen 6 is.

I went from a 2SS gen5 to a 2SS 50th anniversary and the cars are night and day. The gen6 while handling as well, rides much more controlled over bumps (not harsh). The Gen5 you felt like you were going to have kidney problems over every bump. Not broke in yet so I cannot comment on power.

For those considering a "Tune" prior to end of warranty take a look at the attached bulletin first. Basically it states with any drive line or converter failure the dealer must prove that the factory calibration history must not have been altered, not just the most recent which can be backed up and restored but the entire history. I would hate to see someone eat an engine replacement even when the tune didn't cause it.

It's a daily driver maintenance day.

Oil change and wash. Then tomorrow is pamper Camaro day.
