Anyone considering Callaway or Lingenfelter for a ZL1 upgrade?

Nah, both are great but not the best value in the world. Paying a lot for their name on your car. I will be going with Redline Motorsport's again and their Phase 3 package (https://redline-motorsports.net). I have their Gen5 Phase 4 package now on my current ZL1 with 20K miles on it and it has been an absolute blast the last couple years. Extremely quick, incredibly reliable, and always up for a test. They specialize in GM and have some wicked fast cars and it does not hurt that Howard won the engine build competition in Dubai where the middle east's version of SEMA was held last year. I know you are in AZ and FL is probably not in your plans but for anyone looking for a PRO engine builder that really knows the LT4, give Howard a call.

So if you don't mind me asking what did that run ya? Because from the looks of what's offered with that package it's on par with everybody else for 700+hp and I can't see that being too much cheaper than lingenfelter. I actually didn't think they were that expensive. Their 700+ package comes with a 2 yr 24,000 mile warranty installed at $11,500. That's a pretty fair deal considering the work they put into it.

$8950 if I remember correctly and I dropped the car off on a Monday and picked it back up Friday. I really never put much stock in the warranty because I looked in Hennessey before I went to Redline and they offered a warranty as well but none of the dealers in my area would honor it. I would have had to take it back to Hennessey and that was a deal breaker, along with the fact they wanted the car for a month which was not gong to happen. There are plenty of great engine builders I just gave my opinion on Redline as an alternative for folks in the southeast.

Callaway and Lingenfelter

The Callaway SC740 gen3 package is $18,000. The Lingenfelter pulley upgrade package is about $3,000 and gets about 700 HP. I think both are Chevy authorized modifiers. Chevy dealer honored my Callaway warranty.

I find it hard to believe that they can get 120hp from a pulley swap only. I hate to be that guy but I am calling BS on 120hp from a simple pulley swap. I know that I had my package dyno'd at 661RWHP but that was a heck of a lot more than a pulley swap. When I was shopping, I called all the big boys mentioned in this thread and the lowest price I got that would garunatee me that power (before I called Redline) was $10,900 from Lingfelter so I am not sure we are talking apples to apples here. Ultimately I am getting an estimated 750hp at my crank (estimate 15% drive train lose) for $9K and I could not be happier. The LT4 is more expensive due to the complexity of the DI motor and a few other issues but I am going for more power my next go around.

Pulley swap

ZL1 has 650 hp, so pulley upgrade adds 50 hp. Seems doable

Everything I was referencing was for my Gen5 which has 580hp stock. You can get 50hp with a CAI and tune on the LT4 so no argument from me regarding getting 50hp more out of the Gen6.

I plan on doing the Lingenfelter 750 package. However, I do want to keep the VVT so we will have to figure something out when the time comes. I may change my mind if it is not possible or do a custom package from them. I hate how 99% of the cams delete the AFM and VVT... It's there because it's amazing, why not retain it....

Maybe little things like a CAI, Cup 2's, headers, cats, a tune, and DR's for strip only (no pully). A high 10's strip car is as quick as I would need it, I would want the car to be fully trackable.
