It looks like the rear seats match the Recaros
While looking through the Camaro 6 app and building a SS 1LE, I cam across the interior view and found the rear seats matching the front Recaro's suede inserts. This used to be all leather rear seats similar to what was found in regular SS.
Do you guys think this is a fluke or a sign that the production 1LE will have matching seating surface in the rear. It definitely wasn't a deal breaker for me to have leather in the rear and the Recaros up front with the suede inserts but it would be a nice touch to round out the interior. As far as I'm concerned the rear seat are going to be a feature in my garage. As soon as I figure out how much they effect the flexing of the chassis I'm going to replace them with some type of bracing. No need for backseats in my 1LE.

I wouldn't be surprised that they match honestly. It's just adding some of the GM micro suede to the seat backs, likely only costs them a few bucks per car, and like you said - it's a nice touch.

I don't think they will add it. That app also shows SS badges in the front seats, colored trim around the shifter, and upholstered a-pillars.
Maybe in the future though.

I thought I read somewhere that the rear seats do in fact match the Recaro fronts.... I'm looking to see if I can find it. I thought I saw it on GM Authority but so far no luck. Edit:I found what I was thinking of, but it doesn't say the rear seats match the fronts, it says the rear seats are leather. The car features the following; all standard equipment…no substitutions…and only available on a 1SS, manual transmission: revised, stiffer FE4 suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, electrionic limited slip differential, unique forged aluminum wheels in a graphite metallic color wearing those oh-so-sticky Goodyear’s mentioned earlier (285mm wide up front, and 305 mm wide in the back), Six-piston, monobloc front calipers in red (with the “1LE” logo proudly emblazoned on them) up front squeezing 14.6” two-piece rotors, red four piston brakes in the back, dual mode NPP exhaust, Recaro racing seats, suede-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, matte black hood and side-mirrors, HUD, leather rear seats metallic graphite front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear blade spoiler. The performance data recorder is optional. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439757

I read multiple times little while back that the rear seats are leather.
BUT, in one of the new high res photos from Car and Driver where you can see the back seat it SEEMS like the center may be suede like the front Recaros, or at least some sort of cloth that looks like it? Hard to say for sure... |

That black car is just a prototype made from a '16 SS though. There have been a few changes I have noticed from that car...

That's true. Like the "Fifty" badge we should be getting on the steering wheel isn't on the prototype. I'll be keeping the back seat so as long as it isn't cloth, I'll be happy. Congrats on getting your order placed btw.

The more I look at that pic I posted, the more I am thinking the production SS 1LE back seat is a standard cloth 1SS seat...the tones of the materials just look "different" to me...I hope I am wrong, I wish I could find some more pics from either MT or CD to confirm, but no luck...

Yup, BUT makes sense as the car is a 1SS with optional "front sport seats with suede and leather trim". Nothing about the back seat is mentioned...

I guess we'll see. I don't see why they couldn't at least use the "leather" rear seat from a 2SS. It's just cheap vinyl anyways.
