maggie vs edelbrock tune

Been watching this for a while. I am short of pulling the trigger on either one as this will be my winter project. So looking at Edelbrocks website it comes with a tune which is built in its initial price, (with out a tune its -400.00) however, I like the maggie a little better, but its more expensive and doesn't specify if it comes with a tune or not. can some of you give me pro's or cons of which? and maybe a good supplier that gives the best deals? I'm also on the fence of doing this myself, since I have the whole winter to play with.
As always, thoughts are much appreciated.

I can tell you that the Edelbrock tune seems pretty good. Everyone says it's very conservative which I totally get since they're providing the warranty, but the car still feels strong to me. Edelbrock's tech support is very quick to reply to emails also. I sent them a few scans and they came back and said everything looked good and my initial tune didn't need any changes. If you want the warranty, get their tune and deal with keeping it otherwise stock until the warranty runs out. If you don't care about the powertrain warranty, you'll surely get a more aggressive tune by having someone local to you that's reputable do the tune.

I believe the Maggie comes with a tune also.

Just out of curiosity what is the price difference you are seeing between the two. I thought they were about the same price

It is a couple hundred bucks difference. BUT, the edelbrock covers your powertrain warranty that you lose by adding the s/c. The maggie just covers the s/c.

I would go for the Maggie system. We have installed two so far in our shop and they are putting out great numbers, no problems have been reported. The Maggie system also does come with a tuner. I'll send you a PM for pricing!! Let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

The Maggie has a tune, CARB approval, and an included 3yr / 36,000 mile powertrain warranty - an optional 5yr / 60,000 mile powertrain warranty is also available.

I chose the E-force over the Maggie for only one reason really. It was because the advertising for the heartbeat system on vendors' websites left quite a bit to be desired compared to the E-force. I too didn't think the heartbeat kit came with a tune or a powertrain warranty, and those were two things I definitely wanted. None of the websites I visited at the time said anything about it coming with a tune and powertrain warranty.

Granted I could have dug deep, asked around, and figured out if it offered it or not, but I have much more assurance and comfort seeing it stated on a website. And seeing how I knew they performed nearly identically, that's why I made the choice I made.

The Maggie comes with a tune and a powertrain warranty as long as you use their tune and its installed by a certified technician.
