This answers my above question...how do you know this for sure? Only car I've seen close up was the black one, and that is not a production ready car.

For fun I then did the average price excluding the GT350R and SS 1LE, and it shot up to $166,556.

You can now say with certainty the Viper ACR is an excellent value, but also that the GT350R and SS 1LE are on another planet in terms of value per lap time.

Congrats to both Ford and Chevy. Those are the cars most "drivers" will actually buy. For the price of either one you can't go wrong.

Given the listed pricing above, the 1LE costs half as much as the GT350R. I daresay that the Camaro SS 1LE is the best value performance/driver's car, possibly ever.

And kudos to Ford for the GT350R, what an absolutely amazing car. Chevy and Ford know what's up, being able to create a driving experience like this, smoking cars 2-3x the price.

Great showing by "People's Champs" Camaro and Mustang.

Although, many more people would be in a GT350R without ADM. But that's not Ford's fault I guess.

Like Motorhead said they are built in and not removable on ZL1/1LE. But more importantly MT could not have "goofed" because Aaron Link was there to make sure everything was setup correctly.

I choose the truth. It is better to be right than be wrong while being a d*ck about it.
You just described CNN, NBC, etc. But very true!

60-0 in 94 feet, that is C6 Z06 territory.
1.09 of Avg Lat G, that's better than the track special Z28.
The 5th gen was athletic, but it was still a hippo... weight is the enemy of lap times

I was really hoping the GT350R would win this.

I'm really curious why the Porsche got 3rd and 1LE got 4th. There was more good things to say about the Camaro than the Porsche...

What am I missing?

That's why the Viper would never win because you have to be a real driver order to make it perform to its potential without failure.

I love that new 1LE though. It would appear to be a great "drivers car"
No..just No!

A drivers car is simply are car that checks all the boxes, fast, fun, controlled, and makes you feel connected and in control at all times.
Yes!

To me it appeared that they liked the GT350R more than the McLaren, and the Camaro more than the 911. In the video they eliminated the Camaro from the final 3 solely because the Shelby was better.

But putting

1- Mustang
2- McLaren
3- Camaro
4- 911

would make a lot of people think they're sponsored by GM and Ford.

To be politically incorrect - USA!!!

3 of the top 5 were American cars! What an accomplishment!

I'm glad there are two cars which I may be able to afford in this lifetime among all those tested and I feel even better knowing that they are among the top 5 too.

To me its as simple as this. If I have 70K for a car, I will never think of a Camaro, the decision is simple. Now that I have less than 70K to spend on a car, this list is enough to make me buy a Camaro 1LE. Also, I just hope Ford continues the good work, so that when I will be rich enough to afford a 70K car, it still remains right there on the list.
