Unhappy Uneven Hood Gap

Noticed Uneven hood gap between left and right fender and hood ....Don't think this was there when I bought the car (Verified with Pics to confirm) Has anybody witnessed this issue with their Cars?

Open your hood and close it again being mindful of that and see if it corrects itself.

Crap happens when you buy $43,000 Camaro,,,,,, LoL

I know things happen but when you are dropping that much cash on a Chevy, I would expect quality a tad bit better, I mean seriously, it's not a $15,000 Car .... That's another reason why I'm reluctant on buying a 6th Gen SS, I'm very picky with my cars ...

I had the same issue when I bought mine. I told the dealer and they sent me to their body shop to adjust it. Only took about 20 minutes.

I bought mine from NH and I live in NY....So not sure if this is an warranty Issue and If I can go to any local dealer, local dealers are usually a dickson about warranty claims if the vehicle wasn't purchased from them...

I have a Roto-Fab CAI also. My hood was misaligned so I played with the four nubs until it sat properly.

I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Sorta the same thing I posted three days ago and one post above. Guess Ecchi didn't read it or look at the photo.

Greetings,

I did look at your post and did play a lot with those four nubs but it did not help ....I even removed the Roto-fab Air box and closed the hood to see if that's what is causing the issue but that didn't help either, I guess I will have to take it to a body shop to get it looked at....

Thanks....

Sham001 my comment was not meant for you. I was busting on Ecchi667 for posting the exact same thing I did. I fixed it.

I posted the same last week. Adjusting the 4 nubs didn't help and neither did a nearby (not original) dealer. I had to get a 13mm wrench and adjust the hood latch. I believe they are loose when delivered and go down when closed after a few times.

Yeah, I found out that those nubs don't adjust the front very well. However, if the side lifts up a little (until the CAI settles in ) the side nubs work well to adjust. How far did you have to raise the hood latch to make it even?
