Why don't the seats recline back enough

I got my 2SS and tried to recline the seat back to where I like it and it don't go back enough? Like my 2010 you could recline it til it hit the back seat, it seems like it only Reclines a little and that's it feel like I'm to straight up in this car.. Is this normal?

two possible reasons:

1 - the rear seat room is so bad (it is) that the front seats simply stop so that you can't recline the front seats hard into the rear seat.

2 - it has been documented that in frontal crashes, being reclined can have very negative consequences to your health and well being.

Of course you shouldn't be reclined that much in the driver's seat, but the passenger would be the big one for me on long road trips where a nap helps.

One more reason the Camaro is like the Corvette, which has the bulkhead that prevents seats being reclined.

Oh sounds good.. Ya my 2010 was just rite but I will get use to it .. Ya wish they atleast let the passenger side go down all the way like u said...

Nope. It reclines but maybe halfway to what it used to be on a Gen5. It's not straight up and down by any means, and you can go well beyond where anyone should be driving. But not for a comfortable nap.

Also, us there a manual recliner on a base seat? Or all power?

All seats are powered, regardless of trim level. My 1LT has powered seats.

Yes, these seats do not recline very much. They screwed up the design but thankfully it can be fixed as you can see on page 4 in the second thread I posted.
