I think on that particular track it's a drivers race.
To me all these cars are within striking distance of each other at LS.
Shelby GT350R
Acura NSX
Porsche 911 Carrera s
Nissan GT-R
BMW M4 GTS
Chevy Camaro SS 1LE
Jag F-Type SVR = 1:38.75

No I don't have an actual point I'm just saying stuff...
I also think it speaks to that the conditions may not have been perfect or better than previous years. Maybe all these cars have more speed in them on a better day.

In regards to the results I have to agree with Randy Pobst the Jaguar by far was the biggest surprise!

In what way? I didn't watch the video. Going by the cars stats and power, I expected it to be quicker...

He was surprised by the level of improvement in the car, from one MY to the other.

Jag's typically handle terribly. They have handling closer to that of a drift car than a sports car. I thought it would run 1:40+ easily.

You have the C7 z06/07 as engine failure. RP does actually have a time on LS with it when they did the ACR Z06 H2H

2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Z07 pkg) 1:33.05

It's the 4th fastest passenger car to ever lap LS

I Knew It!

Randy's familiarity with the Viper ACR allowed him to have that extra great time last year.

Why are they testing the Viper ACR again and not the Grand Sport Corvette (it's new) or even the Z06 which was disqualified last year??

Not sure. Maybe GM didn't send it because they wanted the Camaro to get a little more press. I hope they run the GS next year. i think its solidly in the 1:35's

If you do the math on the other cars from their LL results it appears to be high 1:33's to low 1:34's. Remember it bested the R8, NSX, GT350R by significant times and also bested the McLaren.

I'm more interested in where the ZL1 was. They ran both the 5th gen ZL1 and 1LE in the same Lightning Lap.
