Back on topic. I don't have a Camaro yet, but I spend a lot of time on the BMW boards and the same thing happens. An unfortunate few will have problematic cars-multiple problems and trips to the dealer. But the majority of owners of the same model will proclaim it "the best car I ever had!" or "no issues at all!" which really sucks for the people that do experience problems. I don't think it's a Camaro or GM thing, it happens to all brands.

When I had a new (2013) 328i, a lot of forum members were having problems with vibration in the steering. Dealerships were changing out tires, wheels, steering racks and all kinds of other parts trying to rectify the problem but for most people, none of these things remedied the problem. I on the other hand never had the steering issue. I was lucky but I was also part of the majority, most people did not have the problem. There were many polls just like this one about the issue.

I feel badly for the OP.

1300 miles on mine and extremely happy with the decision. Nearly every option and no issues. Extremely little fogging even in humidity so far.

Ha, thanks HyperBlue. I think my excitement for my Camaro is coming back, now that it's back in my hands. I'm actually sitting in my Camaro waiting for my fiancée to get out of work, and also testing a prototype vent blocker to stop the unnecessary fogging. So far it's working great to stop the window fogging, and gives me peace of mind that this will soon no longer be an issue.

Cool. I want you to enjoy your car because I really want to enjoy mine when I finally get it!

Still in the Honeymoon period, choose "Wouldn't do anything different", though I'm a little iffy on that answer... I got an incredibly great deal on a car with all the options, but it wasn't the exact outside color I wanted, but I couldn't pass it up, and I had to trade in my Gen5. So that ONE option aside...

I haven't gotten mine yet, but the wait better be worth it. And it's been nothing that the dealer has done. It's been all GM...

I've had my Camaro back to the dealer twice (at over six weeks in the shop) and have had more things fixed under warranty in my first 1,000 miles than every other car I've owned combined.

Here's what I've had go wrong:
  • HVAC control module went bad and only blew hot air (new HVAC control module installed)
  • Windshield fogging issue (which GM refuses to acknowledge is a problem)
  • Front driver speaker stopped working (speaker replaced)
  • The latch cover to access the backseat on my passenger seat popped off (latch cover replaced)
  • Recall 26170, water intrusion to fan module connector for I-4 and V6 models (harness and module replaced)

But... I still get a big goofy grin when I stomp on the gas and get thrown back in my seat. Yes, even the V6 will throw you back just fine. I still love this car, even though quality control on the gen6 Camaro moderately sucks.

So, I was thinking... If you had a chance to do it over again, and buy a gen6 Camaro... Would you? I'm genuinely curious to see what people think, and I also hope that this helps prospective gen6 Camaro buyers that have been lurking on the forums.
Just turned over 500 miles this evening in my 2SS. I've had a few glitches, keyless entry and the sound management disappearing act. But nothing serious or requiring attention (so far at least). This car is a weekend toy for me, so it doesn't see daily use. I'm still amazed by what this car is capable of. It makes me happy every time I'm behind the wheel. Sure the visibility sucks, and why no park assist for the front of the car? I can't see that end of it either. But yes, I'd buy another one for sure.

I had issues. First day of ownership my car would not start when it was warm, spent a week in the shop to find a very obscure problem with a broken ground inside the insulation.

Also had the trunk hitting the body, recall for the fan, the suspension thing, and My Link freaking out. All has been resolved and I totally love this car!

I figure with a totally new model I was willing to accept some quality issues. I wouldn't change a thing. This car is awesome!

I have 13,000 miles so far.

Just over 5,500 miles on the odometer and a million smiles on the face. Many thanks to the Camaro team for this world class car. I think we are really lucky to be able to drive the results of all their hard work.

Ha, I wonder if mine and yours were built on the same day and quality inspected by a bunch of interns. But I hit the 1k mark last night and loving my Camaro again!

We have put on a fair amount of dyno miles along with street driving and have found no issues thus far. We love our sixth gen Camaro!

I only had mine for 3 weeks because I was rear-ended, car was totaled. Once I'm back to working and my settlement comes through(which could be years away) I'll absolutely be buying another one, it'll be one of the first things I do once I'm back on my feet financially.
