If you happened to watch the old Charlie Sheen movie, The Wraith (1986), Clint Howard (pictured below) was a tech guy for a gang of thugs who would race for slips. He would install "digital radio killers" into the engines so if the victim tries to escape, they would fry the engine.

Well, another update.

The GM refused to cover the cost of the $40 knee panel. So I ordered one from the Shop Foreman who seems pretty reasonable.

So....just completed the survey while it was all fresh and annoying. LOL.

It'll be interesting to see what, if any feedback I get from this.

I gave them a fair chance to make it right.

Dealership is saying it comes this way from Chevy.

Nahhh that didn't come from Chevy. Funny how your dealer first said they put it on, now they are back tracking.

3 months later, I take it you never got feedback?

Of course GM is going to refuse. The dealer did it. I hope that was a dealer specific survey.

I think he means the GM of the dealer, as in General Manager.

I did get feedback. They said is was dealer installed and that the dealership would remove it for free, but if I wanted a replacement panel, I had to pay for it, at cost. It's $30 so whatever.

It took me this long to get up the courage to bring my car into the dealership, lol. I hate stealerships. Anyhow, got a call this morning that the part was in, but it had the box on it too. So I'm heading over after work to have a look.

Are you f***ing serious??? It is NOT a General Motors/Chevrolet/Camaro part!! Whatever it is they are putting it on themselves! Tell them to send that one back and order a new one, only tell them you won't accept it if the box or package has been opened. You want a fresh part in a factory sealed, unopened, genuine GM parts box.
