Does anyone know if there is actually a "track warranty" with the 1LE

So my day of ordering is here...MAYBE!! Do any of you "in the know" dealer guys have anything in WRITING that GM is going to cover track failures on the 1LE? After the experience with GM on the last 1LE, I am not going to play the "abused" game this time around.

99% sure they said it will be covered as long as it is stock.

Not sure why this is continuing to be a question several articles and threads have covered this.

I understand if your gut reaction is "this is too good to be true", but you aren't going to get any more information than we have already given you. If you are that concerned about it wait for someone to get a 1LE and ask them to send you pictures of their warranty literature.

There should be an owners manual available for download soon after release.

I could be wrong but won't it just be the same as a normal Camaro SS owners manual? You'll just need to read more of the "If Equipped" bits.

With the 5th gen, it was understood that you were covered for Fun Racing and HPDE days. "No racing"

I take this to the bank.

There are some restrictions, though. The car must not be modified, and it must be an SS model or above.
"If you're not modifying your car and you take your production car to a track day and you have an issue with one of your parts, it's covered under warranty," Oppenheiser said. "We know when somebody changes their ECM calibration and we know if they changed to a cold-air intake, we can tell all that. But driving it as you break it in from the dealership, if you have a half-shaft or whatever, it's covered."

I was talking about the owners manual. The track warranty has been discussed by Al O. and there is one on an unmodified Camaro. Run if as hard as you want on track days but not in competitive events.

Unless it's in writing, I wouldn't base my purchase on this "warranty".

I would say no since the 1LE wasn't out at the release of gen 6. The manuals will likely be the same with just added page "if equiped" like you said, after the cars hit dealers.

Is there any mention of HPDE in the Gen 6 SS manual?

There's a couple pages under the Track Events and Competitive Driving header that go in to brakes, ducts on the SS, fluids, modes, etc.

Starts on Pg 197 if you'd like to read over it yourself.
