Turn on honk after door locks?

Wasn't sure where to put this, so if this isn't the correct place please let me know.

When I use the button on the door to lock the doors, I'd like the horn to honk once as feedback. It does this if you hit the door lock twice on the remote and I like that feedback. I've tried looking in the options and manual and can't seem to find it.

Anybody else like this and figured this out?

I have mine configured as auto lock, as I walk away with the RKE in my pocket, my doors lock and the horn beeps.
Look on section Instruments And Controls, page 138, in the .pdf version. I get all of my info from the downloaded .pdf

While the car is running, go into the My Link screen, Settings, the it should be driving/comfort & convenience then should be passive lock/horn on. Don't have screen in front of me, but it something like that.

Don't have my Camaro yet (6+ weeks and still waiting for order). But I do have a 2015 Suburban and it works exactly like you describe. 1 push, no horn, 2 pushes horn, or just walk away and it auto locks and the horn sounds. I believe that is how the GM software works. Not sure if there is a setting to get the horn to beep on the first push of the lock button.

So I did the passive lock and while that's better then nothing, I'd still like the horn to honk when I hit the button on the outside of the door to lock the doors. Not sure that's possible though.

On the button on the door or the remote? Mine does that on the remote, but if i hit the button on the outer door twice it will just lock then unlock the door.

Correct, and the reason it doesn't honk when you push down the key to lock the doors because Gm wants to give you the option of locking the door without waking up your neighbor or your wife late night. If you want to see if it's locked push the button again and it'll honk at you to confirm that it's locked. Or just set it till you're walking away itll honk at you. I think that's the best option

I'm good with that but for some reason mine doesn't do that. If I hit the button on the outer door twice, it just locks then unlocks. I had assumed I was missing something in the options. I'll just go with the passive locking for now.

Thanks all for the help.

It doesn't honk when you press the door button becuase you are standing right beside it and can hear it lock.
The idea with the second press on the remote is if you are some distance away or inside you get an audible confirmation that it locked.

I was wondering if that was the case, I just like the feedback so was hoping there was a way to do it.
